Skin to skin
Your Baby IS Going to LOVE Being Skin to Skin with You!
People talk about the first hour being important for having skin-to-skin time with the baby. I think this should be extended to the first few days and weeks! This is because having clothes on is normal. Being nude (or half nude) will help parents remember that the early days are a time to rest a lot and connect with the baby. Bonding can happen instantly for some parents, but for others it can take hours, days, or months. One way to enhance opportunities for bonding is to spend skin-to-skin time with the baby.
Your baby loves the way you smell, loves the way you sound, and wants you to hold them most of the time. It's in their nature to be in the arms of a caring grown-up. You cannot spoil your baby.
